Argos is a planet in the Olympian Galaxy and the current capital of the Mortal Republic.
Once the capital of a loose coalition of planets (formally under the dominion of Artemis for about a thousand years), Argos had been ruled by a democratically elected mortal government before it was first selected as the de facto headquarters of the Alliance and the seat of government of the Mortal Republic (Beyond The Impossible #147).
